Express Entry (EE) Process is an online system developed by IRCC to manage applications from Skilled workers in or outside Canada. It comprises of the Federal Skilled Category, Skilled Trades and Canadian Experience Class.
Step one involves potential candidates making an expression of interest in immigrating to Canada by uploading an electronic profile to IRCC. The profiles of eligible candidates are placed in the Express Entry pool, where they are ranked according to a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).
Step two involves the government of Canada selecting the highest ranked candidates from the pool on a priority basis through draws from the pool. Candidates selected by IRCC will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for a Canadian permanent resident visa, at which point they will have 90 days to submit a complete and accurate application.
The Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) allow Canadian provinces and territories to nominate individuals who wish to immigrate to Canada and who are interested in settling in a particular province. Through a PNP, province invite the skilled and talented immigrants, who they find suitable for their labor market and economy.

The Agri-food pilot provides a pathway to permanent residence for experienced, non-seasonal workers in the meat product manufacturing, animal production (excluding aquaculture), green house, nursery and floriculture production including mushroom production. It aims to attract experienced workers in the specified occupations to economically establish in Canada and support the ongoing labour needs of the agri-food sector. This program will run until May 14, 2025.
IRCC will process a maximum limit of 2,750 applications each year across eligible occupation.
As of August 18, 2023,family members of applicants who have received an acknowledgement of receipt letter can apply for an open work permit. Consequently, IRCC now accepts union reference letters as proof of work experience.
The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) is a permanent residence pathways that aims to recruit skilled foreign workers (inside or outside Canada) and international students who graduated with at least 2 year degree, diploma, certificate or trades from New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, or Newfoundland and Labrador.
Key requirements for this program is securing a job offer from a designated employer, passing the language and educational requirement and provide evidence that you can support yourself and your family whilst in Canada. You are exempted from providing this proof if you are currently working and living in one of these provinces with a valid work permit.
The Home Child Care Provider Pilot and the Home Support Worker Pilot are 5-year pilot programs that lets qualified Caregivers come to Canada with the objective of becoming permanent residents.
With this program, you get occupation-specific work permits instead of employer-specific work permits. After completing one (1) year work experience you will be eligible for permanent residence in Canada.
Requirements:
1.Minimum CLB 5 in IELTS-General, CELPIP-General exam or TEF-Canada
2.Minimum 1 year Post Secondary Education which means 1 year of education after Grade 12
3.A genuine and valid job offer from a Canadian Employer outside of the province of Quebec
4.Past experience or training to do the work described in the NOC
Those applicants who have zero experience will get 3 years Occupation Restricted Open Work Permit.
This program will end on June 2024.
